E A Wass No Photo Available Died : 4 / 2009

Squadron Leader E A Wass AE (deceased) Known as Ted, he worked in the supply department of the RAF before volunteering as aircrew. He was assigned to the famous No.617 Sqn as a gunner on Lancasters, taking part in two of the three major operations against the German battleship Tirpitz. In January 1944 he was forced to bale out over Germany and spent the remainder of the war in captivity. He died in April 2009.
