Sergeant Ed Pearce Part of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, he landed at Gold beach on 2nd July with the 16th Vehicle Cpy, 21st Army Group. The Group not only concentrated on beach maintenance after the initial Allied landings, but the Vehicle Cpys were also responsible for the supply of all vehicles, including Tanks and Armoured cars, to the entire Normandy Theatre.
